Dr. Naoishe Gorham

Naoishe is the founder and clinical director of Dublin Street Dental Clinic. She graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2000 with an honours degree.

Upon graduation, Naoishe moved to London and worked in a busy NHS dental practice. In 2003, she returned to Ireland and worked in private practice in Naas. 5 years later, Naoishe established Dublin Street Dental Clinic in her home town of Dundalk.

Naoishe enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and has a special interest in endodontics (root canal dentistry) having undertaken a number of hands-on courses in this area.

Dr. Tom Canning

Dr. Tom Canning is a specialist Prosthodontist. Dr. Canning undertook his undergraduate dental training at the School of Dental Science in Trinity College, graduating in 2000 and receiving the Irish Dental Council prize for Restorative Dentistry.

Upon graduation, Dr. Canning commenced his dental career working as a house officer at the Dublin Dental School and Hospital. Subsequent to this, Dr. Canning worked for four years as a general dental practitioner, both in the U.K. and Ireland. While working as a general dentist Dr. Canning commenced his further training undertaking the Membership examinations for the Faculty of Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2004. During this period, Dr. Canning developed an interest in complex restorative dental problems and in order to attain the appropriate training for the management of such patients decided to further his education.

In 2005, Dr. Canning ceased clinical dental practice and commenced a three year full time specialist training programme in Prosthodontics at the School of Dental Science, Trinity College, Dublin. Dr. Canning completed his training in 2008 receiving a clinical doctorate in Prosthodontics and graduating with honours. The research thesis forming part of this training was published in the renowned International Journal of Prosthodontics(hyperlnk).

In addition to training as a Prosthodontist Dr. Canning received a certificate in Dental Implant Surgery from the London Institute, Seattle, Washington, USA in 2011.

2008 saw a return to clinical practice for Dr. Canning, this time as a specialist Prosthodontist. He began work at specialist interdisciplinary practices at the Northumberland Institute of Dental Medicine and in G9, The Galway Clinic. This period of time exposed Dr. Canning to a wide range of complex clinical cases and he has developed an expertise in the management of complex dental problems requiring specialist level care.

Together with his clinical practice, Dr. Canning has lectured extensively both nationally and internationally on a number of areas in the field of Prosthodontics. A list of his most recent presentations can be found below.

Dr. Laura-Anne Burns

Laura graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2013, and went on to complete a year of Vocational Training in Cornwall, UK. Since returning home to Ireland she has completed further training in the field of Oral Surgery, when she worked in the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.

Laura enjoys providing all aspects of general dentistry, and is a certified provider of CFAST adult short-term brace system.

Dr. Collette Colgan

Originally from Co.Tyrone, Dr. Colgan qualified from Queens University Belfast in 1999 and worked in general practice outside Wigan where she gained experience in a broad range of areas of dentistry.

Collette then travelled to Australia where she worked in emergency departments in Sydney and outside Brisbane. Collette returned to Ireland in 2002 & worked in general practice in Drogheda until 2010. After moving to the Cooley Peninsula, she worked in a dental practice in Anne Street in Dundalk before moving to Dublin Street in 2015 when the 2 practices amalgamated.

Collette enjoys all aspects of dentistry and is particularly interested in treating anxious patients and children with a strong emphasis on prevention. Outside of work, Collette is a busy mum of three.

Marcella

Marcella qualified from Trinity College Dublin as a Dental Nurse.
For a period of time, she worked there and in the Eastern Health Board (HSE). While there, Marcella obtained her certificate in Dental Radiography.

Marcella returned to education and in 2002 obtained an honours degree in Dental Dental Hygiene from Cork University College and Hospital.

In 2012, she completed her Hygiene Extended Duty Course. This ensures you can have pain free scalings due to her ability to administer both infiltration and block anaesthesia.

Marcelle is very enthusiastic and passionate about her job. She enjoys her role within the dental team in maintaining dental and gum health of her patients.

Marcella retains her skills and updates her current techniques by regularly attending courses and conferences. In 2015, Marcella extended her portfolio by delving into the cosmetic field and is now fully qualified to administer medical chemical peels.

Kerrie McEneaney

Kerrie attended Cavan institute of Technology following her leaving very, here she completed a 1 year course in Dental nursing and received a Level 5 PLC degree. She then decided to further her studies in Dental Nursing and recently graduated from a 2 year course in Letterkenny Institute of Technology with a level 6 degree. It was during this course when she attended this practice to complete her 6 weeks work placement module in 2015 and has been working here with us since September 2016
